The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join one of the UK's fastest-growing contractors, based in Brighton. The business is dynamic and entrepreneurial, offering a supportive yet highly ambitious culture, clear routes for career progression, and a strong focus on employee engagement and development.
The Project
You will take responsibility for 2 regeneration schemes involving the demolition, replacement, and refurbishment of historic arches. Delivered across two concurrent phases, the project presents a technically complex and logistically demanding programme within a sensitive coastal and public-facing environment. The scope of works includes:
- Demolition works
- New in-situ reinforced concrete frames
- Reinstatement of listed and heritage features
- Highway works
- Service diversions
- Public realm improvements
- Architectural, mechanical, and electrical works
The Role
You will lead the project from the final stages of pre-construction through to commencement on site in Q1 2026, followed by delivery through to phased handovers in 2027 and 2028.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing overall leadership and direction to the project team
- Managing client, stakeholder, and consultant relationships
- Overseeing design development and coordination
- Establishing construction methodology, sequencing, and programme
- Ensuring safe, efficient, and well-coordinated site operations
- Maintaining full contractual, commercial, and financial control
- Upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance
About You
Experience, Certificates & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within a major or regional contracting organisation
- Strong track record of delivering complex projects valued at Β£20m+
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage clients, consultants, and delivery teams effectively
- Robust technical, contractual, and commercial understanding
- Demonstrable drive, accountability, and delivery-focused mindset
- Experience delivering public sector schemes under NEC contracts (highly advantageous)
