Planner - Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Location: Brentwood, Essex Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Benefits Working Pattern: Permanent, Full-time | Office & Site Based Are you an experienced Planner looking for your next opportunity within the civil engineering and infrastructure sector? We are working with a well-established UK infrastructure contractor to recruit a Planner to support the delivery of a range of major schemes across the South. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing planning function and take ownership of contract programmes from tender stage through to completion and handover. The Role As Planner, you will be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining detailed programmes across a portfolio of civil and electrical engineering projects. You will work closely with commercial, estimating, design, site and project teams, as well as clients and consultants, to ensure programmes remain accurate, achievable and aligned with contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities ·Develop and manage detailed contract programmes from first principles through to completion. ·Produce and maintain programmes using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. ·Prepare contractual programme submissions, including NEC Clause 31 and Clause 32. ·Manage Clause 62 / impacted programmes in response to Compensation Events and changes. ·Monitor progress, identify potential delays and develop mitigation strategies. ·Assess the programme impact of changes and communicate these to key stakeholders. ·Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, consultants and contractors. ·Support tender programmes and contribute to planning strategy. ·Work across projects involving civil and electrical engineering activities. About You The successful candidate will have: ·Proven experience working as a Planner within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure. ·Strong experience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project. ·Good knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly Compensation Events and impacted programmes. ·Experience developing logic-linked programmes from drawings, specifications, Works Information and models. ·A strong understanding of the end-to-end project delivery process. ·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. ·Experience across civil engineering, highways, street lighting, traffic signals, drainage or related infrastructure would be advantageous.
