We are looking for an experienced Construction Assurance Engineer with a background in Geotechnical Engineering and Earthworks to support major HS2 works in Brackley. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong design experience who has transitioned into site-based delivery, project engineering, or assurance roles within major infrastructure environments.

You'll play a key role in ensuring earthworks and geotechnical packages are delivered safely, compliantly, and in accordance with approved engineering designs and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site inspections and assurance activities across earthworks packages
  • Review QA/QC documentation, ITPs, and Work Package Plans
  • Ensure compliance with geotechnical designs and specifications
  • Witness testing activities including material and field testing
  • Raise and manage defects and NCRs
  • Audit construction quality and assurance procedures
  • Liaise with site delivery, design, and quality teams
  • Support project reporting and compliance tracking

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Strong earthworks and geotechnical design background
  • Experience on rail, highways, or heavy civils projects
  • Previous experience in construction assurance, project engineering, or resident engineering
  • Knowledge of QA/QC processes and inspection procedures
  • Chartered status preferred

Contract Details

  • £450-£500 per day
  • Inside IR35
  • 5 days per week on site in Brackley
  • Long-term contract opportunity
