Location: Bolton

Rate: Up to £550 per day DOE - Inside IR35/Umbrella PAYE

About the business:

Join a dynamic Tier 1 contractor at the forefront of the water industry, currently delivering major projects across the United Utilities framework. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of AMP8 work, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sub Agent to support the successful delivery of wastewater and water treatment projects across the Lancashire region. This contractor is recognised for embracing innovation and digital engineering, investing heavily in modern construction technologies, BIM and digital delivery systems to improve project performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the successful delivery of designated work packages, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget.
  • Lead Site Engineers, Section Engineers, supervisors and subcontractors across multiple work fronts.
  • Coordinate supply chain partners, labour, plant and materials to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Monitor programme performance, identify project risks and implement solutions to maintain delivery milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, commercial team and client representatives to maintain strong project performance.
  • Champion the use of BIM, digital construction systems and innovative engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support commercial reporting, resource planning and project forecasting.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sub Agent, Assistant Project Manager or similar within a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor.
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Strong experience managing construction work packages on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to manage engineering teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
  • Experience using digital project management systems, BIM and modern construction technologies.
  • Water or wastewater experience is desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
