Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in producing detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD (Civils 3D experience is a plus).
  • Support the design of:
    • Drainage systems (foul and surface water)
    • Highways and external works
    • Levels, earthworks, and site layouts
  • Help prepare technical drawings for both planning and construction stages.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop practical and cost-effective design solutions.
  • Coordinate with architects, clients, and external consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Ensure designs comply with UK standards, regulations, and local authority requirements.
  • Assist with Section 38, 104, and 278 submissions.
  • Contribute to the project lifecycle from concept through to construction.

Requirements

  • A recent degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); Civils 3D experience is desirable.
  • A good understanding of drainage design principles, highways design, and site development.
  • Familiarity with UK design standards and approval processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
