I am supporting a nationally significant infrastructure programme as they continue to build out their Digital Engineering capability. They’re looking for an Asset Information System Specialist to act as the technical backbone of their asset information system, ensuring it remains stable, usable, and fit for purpose as thousands of new assets are brought into operation.

This is a technical system support and administration role, sitting within a wider Digital Engineering function alongside CAD and GIS teams. You’ll be the go-to person for system issues, enhancements and integrations, working closely with users, contractors and the external software provider.

You won’t be building systems from scratch, but you will be critical in keeping a large, mature asset information system functional, improving how it’s used, and ensuring contractors can successfully integrate their data.

Essential:

  • Experience supporting or administering an asset information system or CMMS
  • Understanding of system integration, web services and data flows between systems
  • Experience working in an asset-intensive environment (rail, utilities, infrastructure, defence, transport, etc.)
  • Confidence engaging with users, suppliers and technical stakeholders
  • Strong documentation and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with systems such as Maximo, SAP, Oracle Asset Management or similar
  • Power BI, Power Query or Tableau experience
  • Rail or major infrastructure project exposure

If you’re looking for a role where your technical expertise genuinely underpins a major national programme, I’d love to speak with you.
