We're urgently seeking an experienced Highways Site Supervisor to take charge of a single active construction site in the Bexhill area. This role is ideal for someone who can step in immediately, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure smooth, safe delivery of civils works on a live project including roads and surrounding civils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise all on-site highways and civils activities
- Coordinate operatives, subcontractors and deliveries
- Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with site procedures
- Carry out daily briefings, Das Checks and progress reporting
- Work closely with the project manager to keep the programme on track
- Ensure quality implementation, productivity and safe working practices at all times
Essential Requirements:
- CSCS Gold Card - Mandatory
- Proven experience supervising civils or highways construction works
- Strong understanding of traffic management and safe systems of work
- Competent IT skills for reporting and communication
- Ability to take control of a site independently and confidently
Desirable (not essential):
- SSSTS / SMSTS Temporary Works Supervisor qualification
- Any traffic management qualification
