An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Client Project Manager with experience in transportation, infrastructure and project delivery to join a busy Transport & Infrastructure team within a Local Authority environment.
This role is primarily responsible for managing transportation and engineering projects through the design and implementation stages, ensuring schemes are delivered on time, within budget and in line with current design, safety and environmental standards. The successful candidate will manage multiple stakeholders while supporting the successful delivery of strategic infrastructure programmes and Government objectives.
Working within the Transport & Infrastructure team your main duties include:
- Managing transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the design and delivery stages
- Ensuring project timescales, budgets and specifications are effectively managed and achieved
- Providing updates and progress briefings to team leaders, senior managers and key stakeholders
- Consulting with Councillors, stakeholders and members of the public regarding transportation schemes and proposed developments
- Preparing reports, project appraisals and presentations for Executive Members and senior leadership teams
- Monitoring project resources, programme delivery and financial performance information
