Are you a Quality Assurance Engineer with a track record working for a main contractor on a heavy civils project? Do you have experience producing and compiling quality assurance and handover documentation?

Location: Banbury

Duration: 6 months rolling (2 years worth of work)

Rate: £400 - £450/day DOE

IR35: Inside via umbrella company.

This role offers hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Our client is a leading contractor on HS2 and due to an increase in their work bank, they require a Quality Assurance Engineer to support their busy site teams in ensuring all quality documentation is created and completed accurately and on time. This role requires the individual to have experience producing quality assurance documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist site teams with the completion of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality check sheets.
  • Take ownership of producing and compiling comprehensive quality and handover packs.
  • Proactively chase site teams, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of all required paperwork.
  • Build strong face-to-face relationships with site personnel to ensure cooperation and avoid delays.
  • Actively resolve documentation issues, rather than simply reporting them.
Ideal QA Engineer:
  • A background working for a main contractor on heavy civils or major projects.
  • Proven experience producing ITPs and quality packs within an infrastructure environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise directly with site teams.
  • Must be IT literate.
