Key Responsibilities
- Managing and prioritising your own caseload while delivering high-quality work to meet client expectations.
- Preparing initial site reviews and crafting site-specific strategies tailored to project goals.
- Delivering bespoke advice to clients across diverse projects.
- Preparing, submitting, and managing planning applications, supported by detailed reports.
- Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary professionals, including architects, landscape, highways, drainage, and ecology consultants.
- Engaging positively with Planning Officers, Councillors, statutory bodies, and the public.
- Leading project meetings and negotiations to secure the best outcomes for clients.
- Supporting team members with advice, shared workloads, and collaborative project work.
- Managing budgets, time recording, and invoicing to ensure efficient project delivery.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in town planning, with a proven ability to manage complex projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of planning legislation and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
