Carrington West is recruiting for an experienced Area Manager / Site Agent to support a busy mains-laying programme across South London. The successful candidate will oversee Supervisors and multiple operational teams, taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of mains-laying works across the area.
The Role
- Managing Supervisors and multiple site teams
- Overseeing water mains-laying works
- Planning and coordinating labour, resources and site activities
- Monitoring programme and progress
- Maintaining high health, safety and quality standards
- Managing subcontractors and operational issues
- Liaising with clients and internal teams
- Supporting the wider management team with programme delivery
About You
Previous water mains-laying experience would be ideal. Candidates with a strong background in gas mains laying will also be considered.
You should have:
- Water or gas mains-laying experience
- Site Agent, Area Manager or similar management experience
- Experience overseeing Supervisors and multiple operational teams
- Strong understanding of site health and safety
- Good programme and resource management skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
