Responsibilities
- Assisting with highway and infrastructure design work
- Supporting technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Learning Section 278 and Section 38 highway design standards
- Assisting with drainage, junction and access designs
- Supporting reports, calculations and technical documentation
- Liaising with colleagues, local authorities and external consultants
- Developing knowledge of highways standards and project delivery
Qualifications
- A genuine interest in highways, infrastructure or civil engineering
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good IT skills and attention to detail
- GCSEs including Maths and English
- Any exposure to AutoCAD or engineering software would be beneficial
