I'm working with a client that is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to join its senior leadership team in Glasgow.
This is a key appointment within an established business that delivers civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Scotland. The successful candidate will play a leading role in driving commercial performance, supporting operational teams and ensuring projects are delivered successfully from a commercial perspective.

The Role
Reporting into the senior management team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the commercial function across a portfolio of projects, ensuring commercial objectives are achieved while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include:
·Leading the commercial management of multiple infrastructure projects.
·Supporting project teams with commercial advice and decision-making.
·Managing client and subcontractor relationships.
·Negotiating contracts and resolving commercial matters.
·Monitoring project performance, costs and profitability.
·Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
·Driving continuous improvement across commercial processes.
·Leading and mentoring members of the commercial team.
·Working collaboratively with operational and finance teams to achieve business objectives.

About You
We're keen to speak with experienced Commercial Managers who can demonstrate:
·Previous commercial leadership experience within a contractor or private-sector environment.
·Strong commercial awareness and sound business judgement.
·Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
·Experience managing contracts, commercial risk and financial performance.
·A proactive approach with the confidence to make decisions and drive improvements.
