A leading specialist engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Structural Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established practice delivering high-quality structural and civil engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, refurbishment and specialist structures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver structural design work from concept through to construction
  • Produce calculations, technical reports and detailed design drawings
  • Work closely with architects, contractors and clients to develop coordinated solutions
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant UK standards, regulations and best practice
  • Provide technical support, guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians

Candidate Profile

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent)
  • Chartered status (MIStructE/MICE) or be actively working towards it
  • Proven experience in structural design across multiple materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry)
  • Strong knowledge of current UK design codes and standards
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, problem‑solving approach
