Role Overview
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Structures team in Bristol. You will play a key role in inspecting, assessing, and reusing/retrofitting existing buildings, as well as contributing to the design of new structures across a variety of sectors. This hands-on, technically engaging role offers regular opportunities for site visits, early responsibility, and the chance to lead your own projects from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to structural design projects, including inspections, surveys, assessments, reuse/retrofit, and new-build design.
- Take ownership of small to medium-sized projects with the opportunity to lead and deliver independently.
- Engage in site visits and develop practical solutions on live projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Continue professional development and progress within your chosen institution (ICE/IstructE or equivalent).
Essential Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in structural design, ideally in a consultancy environment.
- Experience in leading small to medium-sized projects independently, with limited supervision.
- Comfort working across a diverse range of tasks, including inspections, assessments, reuse/retrofit, and new-build design.
- Active progression within your professional institution training pathway (ICE/IstructE or equivalent).
