Building Control Officer Carrington West’s dedicated Town and Country Planning recruitment team operate UK wide and we are delighted to be assisting one of our Local Authority clients with their search for a Building Control Officer to be based in Lancashire on a permanent contract. The Role ·Asses and negotiate all forms of building control work including Full Plans and Building Notice applications to ensure work is compliant with building regs. ·Serve notices to approve or reject proposed building work. ·Undertake building inspections. ·To assist with the processing of Initial Notices from any Approved Inspectors. ·To use your professional judgement to undertake enforcement investigations relating to development carried out in contravention of the Building Regulations and to pursue action (where necessary) in accordance with the provisions of The Building Act 1984 and the Building Regulations (as amended). ·To respond to reports of dangerous structures (including where necessary
