Overview
Senior Technology Delivery Manager / Senior Digital Project Manager / Senior Software Delivery Project Manager required to work for a Professional Services business based in Central London. However, this is a Global role that may require some Global travel (fully expensed) but most of the work can be done from the comfort of your own home.
We need someone from a hands-on technical background (ideally development within digital technology products) who is passionate about technology, who understands technology and spends time looking out for what is new in the market. This person will own projects with proven end-to-end project delivery experience. This is a development-driven / SDLC / SaaS project delivery role, not primarily infrastructure.
The role is a hardened, solid Senior Project Management position requiring the ability to engage with C-Level / Partner level stakeholders, influence key vendors, discuss modern digital technologies, products, AI, and SDLC, and lead projects with minimal handholding (with appropriate support).
There is a written side to it as well, including writing and designing high-level strategic technical documents for the business prior to project execution. You will run meetings with key stakeholders in both the business and technology domains and be prepared to be challenged by difficult stakeholders on occasion. The role focuses on business outcomes through technology, with energy and clarity in articulating the impact of projects on the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery with a focus on development-driven SDLC, SaaS solutions, and modern digital technology.
- Write and design high-level strategic technical documents for the business prior to project execution.
- Run and chair meetings with key stakeholders in both business and technology, confidently handling challenges and holding your own.
- Engage with C-Level / Partner level stakeholders and influence vendors to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborate across global teams and consider global cultures and behaviours when working with a global remit.
- Provide thought leadership on technology, AI, and related capabilities to drive business outcomes.
Experience / Qualifications
- Role is the face of Global IT in the Project; global experience is not required but an appreciation of a global role versus regional is needed.
- Proven hands-on technical background prior to project management.
- End-to-end project delivery experience with demonstrated project ownership.
- Experience as part of a wider project team with a strong business relationship component.
- Extensive experience delivering SaaS and bespoke software solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex issues to challenging stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to plan and present at both high and detailed levels.
- Ability to present complex technical solutions to IT and senior business stakeholders (including C-Level / Partner level).
- Strong vendor management skills and ability to challenge suppliers and work with them to achieve outcomes.
- Strong risk and issue management, with proactive preventative measures.
- Experience in IT Managed Services processes and their application to SaaS solutions.
- Understanding of SaaS solution testing and assurance; able to advise on test plans and activities.
- Comfort with ambiguity and topics outside typical Project Manager remit.
- Ability to present updates across the company network and to very senior stakeholders.
- Mentoring ability for junior project managers, business analysts, and product owners.
- Ability to reflect experience concisely on a CV (4 pages maximum ideally).
