Security Pre Sales Consultant required to work for a 3rd Party Service Provider in the City of London. However, this role will be partially remote and you will be travelling to various client sites from time to time. We need someone who can think outside of the box and work on complex projects that encompass all aspects of Digital Security. The candidate would be expected to have knowledge and experience across all market verticals, with a comprehensive awareness of vendors within the Security Digital Arena, providing:
- “Pre-Sales” Security Solutions support internally and externally to account managers
- Work as a team player to assist in the smooth running of the Solutions department
- Closely interact with the engineering department during the design stage of new solutions
- Is a subject matter expert in Digital Security
Key responsibilities:
- Foster strong relationships with Bid and Sales Teams
- Technically qualify new opportunities in conjunction with the commercial qualification
- Attend internal and external meetings
- Take personal technical ownership of nominated key opportunities and lead technical engagement through qualification, RFI/RFP/BAFO and the internal response negotiation stages.
- Act as an SME for Security Services to drive Security innovation across the client base
- Design and develop innovative and competitive security solutions, working individually or leading a virtual team for the qualified opportunity
- Support the Sales Account Manager with the commercials of the opportunity
- Work very closely with the Bid Team and Account Managers to respond to tenders (RFI/RFP)
- Ensure that open and transparent communication channels exist with all sales staff and managers.
- Create a close working relationship with the engineering department to validate proposed designs and solutions
Knowledge and experience required:
- Significant IT / Telecoms experience
- Significant experience in a pre-sales environment with the ability to talk confidently about technical solutions
- Excellent presentation skills – the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Demonstrable experience responding to bids and tenders
- Good commercial acumen
- Proven technical design skills and the ability to create design documentation
- Experience in Private & Public Cloud architectures for Security
- Knowledge of Network Architectures SDN and WAN/LAN Technologies
- Knowledge of IPT, Hosted Voice, Unified Comms impact are requirements of Digital Security Services
- Previous hands-on technical experience is desirable
