Practice Manager / QA Manager required to work for a fast-growing business based in Central London. This position is primarily remote, with some travel to the Central London offices and occasional global travel. All travel and accommodation expenses will be paid. As this role has global coverage, there may be early or late calls. Flexibility in working hours is expected, and candidates must be dedicated and open to a schedule that may not align with a traditional 9am – 5pm position. Immediate availability is a bonus.
Key Areas of Knowledge and Experience:
- Domain Knowledge: Quality Assurance, Quality Control & Testing – Frameworks, Tools, Techniques
- Resource Management: Capacity & Capability with Partners and Internal resources
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with executives to delivery, including internal clients – full stack – including planning, monitoring & reporting
- Pre-Sales: Presenting, scoping, estimating, solutioning, resourcing
- Delivery: Driving Team Outcomes – including Partners, Ensuring Quality Delivery and Meeting Stakeholder Expectations
- Governance, Leadership & Management: Budgets, Delivering the Quality Strategy, Overseeing Teams and Ensuring outcomes
Additional Experience Required:
- You MUST have managed or led QA Teams of significance (including 3rd parties) – size and scale is extremely important.
- This includes exposure to leadership of circa 70 people via in-house and outsourced teams.
- Clear examples of how to maximize results from 3rd parties are required.
- A strong network of 3rd party teams in case existing vendors need replacement.
- Proven people management and leadership skills.
- Ideally, you will have been a Tester or QA Assistant earlier in your career.
- SOLID senior Business Stakeholder Management skills.
- Proven resilience and a strong approach to getting things done.
- No issues with global calls and global travel at short notice.
- In-depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant standards (e.g., ISO9001).
- Knowledge of QA methodologies and tools (e.g., test automation, bug tracking).
- Demonstrated experience in delivering quality management frameworks and systems, along with the ability to create and develop Quality Strategies, Policies, and Test Plans.
- Professional certification in quality management is desired but not mandatory.
- Ability to build temporary teams for auditing, testing, validation, and improvement programs.
