Programme Delivery Director, Portfolio Director, Professional Services, AI, Digital, ITIL, Global Capability, Remote with Global travel
Portfolio Delivery Director / Programme Delivery Direcrtor required to work for a Global Professional Services company based in Central London. However, this role will mainly be based from the comfort of your own home but there will be some travel. This will be to the likes of Central London every now and again, Europe and the States. ALL travel will be completely expensed from the moment you leave your doorstep!
PLEASE READ IN FULL BEFORE APPLYING…In a nutshell, we need a seasoned Programme / IT Director level person who has operated at this level, has Global capability, a Digital / AI vision (with proven Digital Product / Platform experience) and solid exposure to reporting into C-Level Management and dealing with Stakeholders at the highest level. We want someone who has faced off to key business stakeholders who make the biggest decisions within the business.
We need a good politician who knows how to manage the most senior of Stakeholders, along with knowing how to roll your sleeves up and get the job done. We need a strong leader to manage a big Programme vertical, help drive things forward and get things done. The whole point of this role is to be a part of the Director Team within Technology where you will have circa 4 peers, all reporting into the CIO.
We would look at existing IT Directors (by title) but you must have some Portfolio / Programme Director experience at strategic Director level. We need someone who is capable of the strategic thinking but is also prepared to get involved in the detail of Delivery. We need someone who is technically minded and has proven Delivery skills in previous roles.
This is going to be extremely hard work where the stakeholders can be quite demanding. It will require out of hours calls, some weekend work and Global International Travel. We want someone with the mindset that almost nothing is too much trouble. Anyone who asks ‘how often will I be travelling’ or ‘how frequent will the calls be’, it is probably not the role for you! It is a case of doing what it takes to get the job done, along with doing it with ultimate leadership and precision. This is ‘give and take’ in the role too, and an understanding that people do have lives outside of the workplace. It is not as scary as the description, but the picture needs to be painted in this way in order to get the right character.
