We are seeking a Security Operations Lead to oversee the global IT security operations for a professional services company. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to London and Europe, all expenses paid. This position requires a versatile security professional, comfortable with a dynamic environment. It is ideal for candidates with a background in security, possibly ex-military, who thrive in a less structured setting.

The Security Operations Lead will manage daily security operations, handle incidents, and lead a team of security professionals to maintain security standards. You will be recognized as the operational security expert both internally and externally.

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in information security management or related fields (IT audit, IT risk management)
  • Qualifications such as CISSP or CISM
  • High personal integrity and trustworthiness; willingness to undergo vetting
  • Background in technical IT roles with a focus on security systems and expertise in security platforms
  • Technical skills in intrusion detection, penetration testing, firewall configuration
  • Knowledge of security risks, controls, operational processes, and legal aspects of IT security
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Experience in planning, prioritizing, and managing multiple demands in a complex environment
  • Broad and deep knowledge of information security principles, systems, and networks
  • Ability to lead, influence, and motivate a small team of security specialists
  • Understanding of planning and budgeting processes
  • Knowledge of data and physical security legalities
