Work Pattern
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9 am -5 pm
- Main Purpose of the Role
To provide effective administrative support to Children’s Services, helping the team deliver high-quality services to children, young people and families.
The role includes organizing meetings, managing diaries, preparing documents and monitoring actions and deadlines.
- Typical Day
- Organizing meetings and managing diaries.
- Preparing agendas, reports and meeting papers.
- Taking minutes and tracking actions.
- Managing emails, correspondence and phone enquiries.
- Updating records and systems.
- Liaising with families, schools, social workers and partner agencies.
- Supporting general administrative tasks and statutory processes.
- Key Skills & Responsibilities
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience of administration and minute taking.
- Knowledge of Children’s Services and Local Government.
Essential Qualification
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent or above
- Basic DBS check required
