Role Overview

Wokingham Borough Council is seeking an experienced

Mosaic Trainer to support the successful delivery of its Children’s Mosaic Improvement Programme.

The post holder will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging training to Children’s Services staff to support the adoption of improved Mosaic workflows, processes, and recording models.

Working closely with project leads, subject matter experts (SMEs), operational managers, and technical teams, the Mosaic Trainer will ensure frontline staff are confident and capable in using the updated system effectively while maintaining compliance with statutory social care requirements.

This role is ideal for an experienced social care systems trainer, Mosaic specialist, application trainer, or business change trainer with knowledge of Children’s Services case management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver tailored Mosaic training sessions for Children’s Services staff, including social workers, team managers, and administrative teams.
  • Develop clear and accessible training materials, including user guides, process documents, presentations, and digital learning resources.
  • Conduct training needs analysis across service areas to identify learning requirements and support effective rollout planning.
  • Work collaboratively with SMEs, operational leads, and programme teams to ensure training content reflects service requirements and statutory practice.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), early adopter groups, and pilot users through system walkthroughs, demonstrations, and guidance sessions.
  • Provide ongoing support during phased implementation and system rollout activities.
  • Maintain and update training resources to reflect system changes, feedback, and evolving business requirements.
  • Deliver training through a variety of methods, including classroom-based sessions, virtual training, and e-learning approaches.
  • Gather feedback from training sessions and use insights to improve future delivery.
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, and readiness reports.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience delivering system or IT training within a social care, local authority, or public sector environment .
  • Strong understanding and practical experience of

Mosaic or similar Children’s Social Care case management systems .

  • Experience supporting system changes, upgrades, implementations, or digital transformation programmes.
  • Ability to explain complex system processes clearly to non-technical users.
  • Experience creating training materials, user guides, and digital learning resources.
  • Confident delivering training to a range of audiences, including frontline practitioners, managers, and administrative teams.
  • Good understanding of Children’s Social Care processes, safeguarding requirements, and statutory recording expectations.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience supporting a

Mosaic upgrade, implementation, or improvement programme .

  • Knowledge of Children’s Services transformation programmes, including Family Help reforms.
  • Understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks and statutory social care requirements.
  • Experience using e-learning platforms and digital training tools.
  • Formal training, coaching, or learning and development qualification.
