We are looking for a System Support Officer to join our Finance team, supporting the efficient processing of supplier payments and day-to-day operation of financial systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately, promptly, and in line with procedures and legislative requirements. You will investigate and resolve payment queries, maintain supplier records, and help ensure strong financial controls are in place. You will also act as a first point of contact for internal users and suppliers, providing advice, support and guidance on financial systems, including basic system administration tasks such as user support and password resets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices and general payments accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Investigate and resolve payment and system-related queries from suppliers and internal users.
- Support the administration of financial systems including Unit4 Business World and Civica.
- Review payment activity to minimise duplicate payments and maintain data accuracy.
- Maintain supplier records in line with legislative, HMRC and fraud prevention requirements.
- Provide telephone and email support to system users and stakeholders.
About You:
You will have experience working within a finance, payments, accounts payable or financial systems environment and be comfortable using computerised financial systems and Microsoft Office. You will possess strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage workloads to deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
