The Role
We are seeking an experienced
ERP Payroll Design & Implementation Lead to support a major ERP transformation programme for Staffordshire Police.
This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering the payroll workstream as part of the implementation of
Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll .
As the functional lead for payroll, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and the implementation partner to design, configure and deliver a payroll solution that meets organisational, statutory and legislative requirements.
You will play a critical role in ensuring a successful transition to the new Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll.
- Act as the functional lead for all payroll-related activities within the ERP transformation programme.
- Work with the implementation partner to configure Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll in line with business requirements and UK payroll legislation.
- Lead payroll design workshops with HR, Payroll, Finance and key stakeholders.
- Define payroll data migration requirements and support data validation activities.
- Collaborate with the Test Manager to develop and execute payroll testing, including system, integration and user acceptance testing.
- Ensure payroll processes comply with UK statutory, legislative and public sector requirements.
- Support change management activities, ensuring business readiness for the new payroll solution.
- Provide subject matter expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to go live and post implementation support.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll implementations.
- Strong hands on experience configuring Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payments.
- Experience leading payroll design, testing and data migration activities.
- Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across HR, Payroll, Finance and external implementation partners.
- Experience working on large scale ERP transformation programmes.
- CIPP qualification or significant equivalent payroll implementation experience.
Desirable
- Experience within the public sector or policing environment.
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion HCM.
- Experience supporting organisational change and business readiness activities.
