To plan, create and deliver high-quality digital communications content across social and digital channels, supporting priority programmes, campaigns and organisational communications activity. The role provides specialist expertise in channel performance, audience engagement, digital storytelling and content execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, channel-specific digital content across social media and digital platforms.
  • Create high-quality content including social posts, video, graphics, short-form and long-form digital assets.
  • Advise colleagues on effective digital approaches, audience engagement and platform best practice.
  • Manage content calendars and identify opportunities to improve reach, engagement and content performance.
  • Use analytics, audience insight and channel data to optimise messaging, formats and delivery.
  • Support the development of digital campaigns and communications activity aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Ensure communications outputs are accurate, accessible, brand compliant and reputationally sound.
  • Work collaboratively with communications colleagues and stakeholders to improve the quality and consistency of digital content.
  • Keep up to date with emerging digital communications trends, tools and best practice.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience delivering digital communications, social media or content activity within public, private or third-sector organisations.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills across multiple channels and audiences.
  • Experience creating digital content including video, graphics and social assets (Adobe Creative Cloud desirable).
  • Strong understanding of channel strategy, audience behaviour and digital analytics.
  • Experience using social media management platforms such as Orlo or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and deliver at pace in a fast-moving environment.
