  • Mentor engineers and contribute to the development of technical standards, documentation and engineering practices.
  • Participate in an on‑call rota, including occasional out‑of‑hours support.

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for candidates with experience in most of the following

  • Strong experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or ARM Templates.
  • Automation and scripting using Power Shell and/or Python.
  • CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops or similar platforms.
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), identity and access management.
  • Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, VPNs, NSGs, Private Endpoints and Express Route.
  • Windows Server and Linux administration within cloud environments.
  • Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and cloud monitoring solutions.
  • Cloud security best practices, including RBAC, Key Vault, Defender and vulnerability management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and business‑critical applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, incident management and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience with cloud migrations and platform modernisation programmes.
  • Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience working within highly regulated or public sector environments.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e. g. Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Dev Ops Engineer or equivalent).
  • What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a proactive engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving cloud platforms through automation, and sharing knowledge with others.

You’ll be comfortable taking ownership of technical solutions, influencing engineering standards and working collaboratively to deliver secure, reliable cloud services that support a wide range of users.
