Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a passionate and experienced Domestic Abuse Education Lead to join our Domestic Abuse and Interpersonal Violence Service. This is a vital role focused on improving outcomes for children, young people, and families affected by domestic abuse. You will lead on delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions, supporting professionals, and driving forward best practice across education and partner agencies. Working collaboratively within a multi‑agency environment, including MARAC, you will play a key role in safeguarding vulnerable children and reducing risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support staff to deliver effective domestic abuse interventions
  • Assess and manage risk for children, young people, and families
  • Develop and deliver training to education and Trust staff
  • Work in partnership with families and multi‑agency professionals
  • Produce high-quality reports and maintain accurate case records
  • Contribute to service improvement and promote best practice

About You

  • Qualified in Social Work or hold a Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in working with complex families
  • Experienced in domestic abuse work and safeguarding children
  • Skilled in multi‑agency collaboration and risk assessment
  • Confident communicator with strong report‑writing skills
  • Able to lead, influence, and support others effectively
