We are seeking a UX & UI Designer who is dedicated to creating digital services that meet user needs. This position is within our Web and Digital team, under Technology Digital Services (TDS), which focuses on designing solutions to common issues across our Web and digital platforms. Your role is responsible for designing and enhancing the user interface and user experience of our digital products. You will be required to work closely with other disciplines across TDS and service teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth user research to understand user behaviours, needs, and preferences.
  • Analyse and interpret user feedback, data, and trends to inform design decisions.
  • Create user personas and customer journey maps.
  • Develop information architecture, site maps, and user flows to create a logical and intuitive structure for digital products.
  • Ensure content is organised effectively and efficiently.
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mock-ups to visualise and communicate design concepts and iterate on these designs based on user feedback.
  • Design visually appealing user interfaces that are consistent with branding guidelines utilising tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
  • Ensure the interface elements are intuitive and user-friendly.
  • Implement design principles such as typography, colour theory, and layout.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather user feedback and validate design choices.
  • Make data-driven design improvements based on test results.
  • Identify and prioritise usability issues and enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other designers, to ensure a seamless integration of design into the development process.
