PAYE Pay Rate: £358.91 per day

Main Purpose

Lead the development and delivery of corporate strategies that support Southwark Council’s priorities, transformation agenda and long‑term vision. Provide strategic and policy advice to senior leaders and use evidence, data and stakeholder insight to support decision‑making.

Typical Day

• Develop and review corporate strategies and policies.
• Prepare reports, briefings and presentations for senior leaders and elected Members.
• Analyses data, research and policy developments.
• Engage with residents, partners and internal services.
• Provide strategic recommendations and options appraisals.
• Support transformation, innovation and organisational improvement.
• Manage projects and mentor/line manage a Strategy Lead.

Essential Requirements

• Significant experience in strategy, policy or transformation, preferably within local government/public sector.
