Work Pattern: 35 hours per week, (Mon – Fri)
PAYE Pay Rate: £169.68 per day
Main Purpose of the Role
To investigate and enforce environmental crime across the borough, including fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling, abandoned vehicles and other environmental offences. The role involves gathering evidence, issuing Fixed Penalty Notices, taking enforcement action and preparing cases for prosecution where required.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Investigate fly-tipping, littering and dog fouling
- Investigate abandoned and untaxed vehicles
- Issue Fixed Penalty Notices
- Gather evidence using CCTV and cameras
- Prepare prosecution cases and witness statements
- Manage a caseload and meet targets
- Maintain accurate records
- Deal with residents and businesses
- Work with Council teams and external agencies

- Investigate complaints
- Visit sites and gather evidence
- Check CCTV
- Speak with residents and businesses
- Issue enforcement notices
- Update case records
- Prepare reports and court paperwork
- Attend court when required
