About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Plumber – Multi Trade to join our Property Services team. This is a customer-focused role responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, repair, installation and refurbishment work across residential properties. The successful candidate will primarily undertake plumbing repairs and installations, while also carrying out a range of associated multi-trade works to ensure a seamless service for residents and customers. You will work independently, manage your own workload, and contribute to delivering an efficient, compliant and value-for-money maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out plumbing installation, maintenance, servicing and repair work across occupied and void residential properties.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to hot and cold water systems.
  • Complete full bathroom refurbishments, including removal and installation of sanitaryware and associated works.
  • Undertake a range of multi-trade tasks including basic tiling, plastering, joinery and decorating.
  • Ensure work is completed to agreed quality standards and timescales.
  • Liaise effectively with tenants, colleagues, contractors and other trades to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels and materials to minimise delays to repairs.
  • Complete job records, documentation and electronic updates accurately and within required timescales.
  • Work in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Identify and report any issues affecting service delivery to management.
  • Participate in the standby/call-out rota and provide cover for colleagues when required.

Requirements

Essential

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification).
  • Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification.
  • Proven post-qualification experience in plumbing maintenance and repairs.
  • Experience working within domestic properties, social housing, housing associations or a responsive repairs environment.
  • Experience carrying out multi-trade works including tiling, plastering, joinery and decorating.
  • Good understanding of current Health & Safety requirements.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to use handheld devices or computerised systems to record job information.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a target-driven repairs and maintenance service.
  • Experience of bathroom installations and refurbishment projects.
  • Social housing maintenance experience.
