Work Pattern
2 days remote, 3 days in the office.
Main Purpose of the Role
To provide effective social work support to children, young people and families, helping to keep children safe, manage risks and achieve positive outcomes.
- Typical Day
- Visit children, young people and families across the county.
- Complete assessments and review support plans.
- Identify and manage safeguarding and risk concerns.
- Attend meetings, reviews and court-related work where required.
- Work with families, schools, health services and other professionals.
- Keep accurate case records and update relevant documentation.
- Work as part of the wider social work team and provide duty cover when required.

Essential Requirements / Qualifications
Social Work qualification (e. g. BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
Registered with Social Care Wales .
- Relevant experience working with children, young people and families.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to travel across the county as required.
- Full UK driving License and access to a vehicle is desirable/required depending on service needs.
