About the Role

As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with mental health needs to live safe, independent, and fulfilling lives in their communities. Working within a multi-disciplinary environment, you will:

  • Manage your own caseload, delivering person‑centred care and support
  • Complete Care Act assessments, care plans, reviews, and capacity assessments
  • Apply Camden’s strengths‑based “What Matters” approach
  • Respond to crisis situations and safeguard vulnerable adults
  • Act as a keyworker, coordinating support across health, social care, and voluntary services
  • Contribute to Mental Health Act work, with opportunities to train as an AMHP
  • Undertake Court of Protection work and support carers through assessments and reviews

This is a dynamic, community‑based role involving home visits, hospital work, and collaboration across services.

About You

We’re looking for a committed and reflective practitioner who:

  • Is a qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
  • Has experience working in mental health or adult social care settings
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and mental health legislation
  • Can assess risk effectively and make sound professional decisions
  • Is confident working independently and within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Is committed to strengths‑based, trauma‑informed, and recovery‑focused practice
  • Is willing to undertake AMHP training (if not already qualified)

Fully onsite for the first week then 2 days remote, 3 days in the office.
