Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced NEC Housing Implementation Consultant to support the re-implementation of NEC Housing and the enablement of Account Analytics functionality within the application. This role requires a deep understanding of NEC Housing data structures and housing business processes, with the ability to lead and deliver end-to-end solution design, configuration, build, and testing across key NEC Housing modules. The position is a contract role for the duration of the implementation programme, with a strong emphasis on knowledge and skills transfer to permanent officers within the Housing directorate prior to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for NEC Housing during the re-implementation programme
- Lead and contribute to solution design workshops, translating housing business requirements into robust NEC Housing configurations
- Own and deliver module build and configuration across core NEC Housing modules
- Provide expertise on NEC Housing data structures to support reporting and Account Analytics functionality
- Support functional testing, ensuring solutions meet agreed acceptance criteria
- Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with housing service users
- Identify and resolve system, configuration, and data issues throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Deliver skills transfer and knowledge handover to permanent Housing officers to enable long‑term system support and ownership
Required Experience & Skills
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with Borough Councils or Local Authorities
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end NEC Housing implementations (design through to build and testing)
- Strong understanding of housing business processes and how they are represented within NEC Housing
- Hands‑on experience implementing most or all of the following NEC Housing modules:
- Repairs
- NEC Assets
- Planned Maintenance
- Engage
Desirable
- Experience supporting Account Analytics, reporting, or data warehouse solutions
- Background working on re‑implementation or transformation programmes
- Experience mentoring or training internal teams during system handover
