The Opportunity

, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of brokers while ensuring outstanding service delivery across new business, renewals, compliance, and client retention.

You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, improving operational processes, mentoring future talent, and ensuring the highest standards of FCA compliance and client care are maintained across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of commercial insurance brokers.
  • Design and deliver structured training programmes for junior brokers.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one performance reviews and development meetings.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, professionalism, and results.
  • Support brokers and apprentices in securing and placing complex risks.
  • Business Growth & Revenue Performance
  • Drive achievement of monthly new business income targets.
  • Maximise renewal retention and customer lifetime value.
  • Monitor team KPIs and implement strategies to improve performance.
  • Identify and develop new insurer partnerships and agency opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, insurers, and key stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Review and enhance fact-find processes and operational procedures.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and system management.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
  • Conduct quality audits and monitor FCA compliance standards.
  • Oversee the effective use of multiple insurance software platforms.
  • Client & Insurer Relationship Management
  • Ensure clients fully understand their insurance policies and cover options.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on policy suitability.
  • Attend internal and external meetings with insurers and key clients.
  • Support both new business and renewal client visits when required.
  • What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Minimum

6 years’ experience within Commercial Insurance Brokerage and Management.

  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance markets and products.
  • Proven track record of leading successful insurance teams.
  • Experience managing new business, renewals, retention, and client servicing functions.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
