To work as a qualified Children’s Social Worker within a frontline statutory safeguarding service, supporting children, young people, and their families to achieve safe, stable, and positive outcomes. The role focuses on assessing risk, protecting children from harm, and providing targeted interventions that strengthen family capacity and improve long‑term wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake statutory assessments of children and families where concerns about safety or welfare have been raised
  • Manage a caseload of children in need, child protection, and potentially looked after children cases
  • Carry out home visits and direct work with children, young people, and families
  • Identify levels of risk and make informed safeguarding decisions in line with legislation and policy
  • Develop, implement, and review child protection and support plans
