About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Maths Teacher to join our dynamic team at Harris Academy Wimbledon on a temporary supply basis. You will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering high-quality lessons to Year 7 to Year 11 students, and helping them develop their understanding and love of mathematics. This role is perfect for an experienced teacher looking for a flexible and rewarding position, or an enthusiastic teacher looking to gain more experience in a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons to students in Years 7–11
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance for students to develop their mathematical skills
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning
  • Manage student behaviour in line with school policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Qualified Maths Teacher with relevant teaching qualifications (QTS preferred)
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their best in mathematics
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience teaching secondary school students is desirable, though not essential
