About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Maths Teacher to join our dynamic team at Harris Academy Wimbledon on a temporary supply basis. You will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering high-quality lessons to Year 7 to Year 11 students, and helping them develop their understanding and love of mathematics. This role is perfect for an experienced teacher looking for a flexible and rewarding position, or an enthusiastic teacher looking to gain more experience in a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons to students in Years 7–11
- Provide clear instructions and guidance for students to develop their mathematical skills
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning
- Manage student behaviour in line with school policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Qualified Maths Teacher with relevant teaching qualifications (QTS preferred)
- A passion for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their best in mathematics
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience teaching secondary school students is desirable, though not essential
