Role Overview
Harris Academy Bermondsey is seeking a female Secondary PE Teacher to deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons to students in Years 7 to 11. This is a short-term supply role within an all-girls secondary school, requiring the successful candidate to lead lessons independently and maintain positive engagement across a range of year groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Lead lessons independently, ensuring student safety and effective classroom management
- Adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of all learners
- Provide some general cover as required
- Maintain professional standards in line with school policies and safeguarding requirements
Person Specification
- Female PE teacher (required due to the nature of the role in an all-girls school)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, but experienced sports coaches are welcome to apply if able to deliver lessons independently
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level (Years 7–11)
- Strong behaviour management and organisational skills
- Reliable, professional, and confident in a school environment
