We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide in-class support to pupils, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, behaviour, and pupil engagement throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-class support to pupils under the direction of the class teacher
- Support individual pupils and small groups with learning activities
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
- Support pupils with varying learning needs to access the curriculum
- Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in lessons
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar classroom-based role (essential)
- Ability to support learning across the curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to supporting pupils
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Additional Information
- This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday
