We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide in-class support to pupils, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, behaviour, and pupil engagement throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-class support to pupils under the direction of the class teacher
  • Support individual pupils and small groups with learning activities
  • Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs to access the curriculum
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in lessons
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar classroom-based role (essential)
  • Ability to support learning across the curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to supporting pupils
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday
  • Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams
