Role Purpose
To support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and to help pupils access learning in a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
- Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning.
- Support pupils with additional needs, including behavioural, emotional, or learning support where required.
- Help maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays.
- Supervise pupils during lessons, transitions, and break times as needed.
- Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing at all times.
- Follow school policies and instructions from teaching staff and senior leaders.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, reliable, and supportive approach.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Additional Information
