This is the spec of what we need:

The focus for the role would be to undertake a review of the safeguarding and quality assurance service across Adult Social Care which includes the safeguarding and Deprivation of Liberties team, Principal Social Worker role, Quality Assurance, Client Affairs team and professional standards academy. The review will include wider areas in the service to evaluate the connectivity with the wider operational and commissioning services which, although not major, can at times crop up as operational issues.

The output of this work would be a proposed restructure for the service to deliver. It is anticipated that the review outcome would propose a mini-restructure with options where relevant. The review will also need to explore the commercial opportunities of the client affairs team which will contribute to the Council's Transformation workstream on Commercial.

The outcome will ultimately need to be reported to the Directorate Leadership Team and potentially the Bexley Futures Board which considers matters of transformation. The timescales for delivery are likely to be challenging with a report submitted for consideration to the Directorate Leadership Team.
