Main Purpose
To lead the Council’s property services, providing advice and management across property valuation, acquisitions, disposals, asset management and non-operational property.
Typical Day
- Lead and manage a professional property team.
- Oversee valuations, acquisitions and disposals.
- Manage the Council’s non-operational property portfolio.
- Support the Council’s Asset Management Strategy.
- Provide property and real estate advice.
- Manage budgets, performance and projects.
- Prepare reports and attend meetings with stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement.

Essential Requirements
- RICS qualified or working towards RICS membership.

- Experience in property valuation, acquisition, disposal and management.
- Experience managing a non-operational property portfolio.
- Experience leading professional/technical teams.
- Knowledge of relevant property legislation.
- Full driving license or access to mobility support.
Desirable
- Local Authority property experience.
- Knowledge of Local Authority valuation processes.
- Management qualification.
