To deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality lift and electrical services across housing stock, ensuring statutory compliance, effective contract management, and excellent resident outcomes. The role supports the delivery of well-maintained homes and communities where residents feel safe and secure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver lift and electrical (M&E) maintenance, servicing, and planned works programmes
- Act as contract manager for external service providers, ensuring performance, value for money, and full statutory compliance
- Carry out pre- and post-inspections to ensure quality of works and adherence to specification
- Review and validate certification, testing, and compliance documentation
- Prepare specifications, tender documents, and support procurement of contracts
- Manage consultants and oversee project delivery from inception to completion
- Monitor budgets, forecast spend, and manage expenditure against approved allocations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including health & safety, CDM 2015, and leasehold consultation (Section 20)
- Handle resident communication, complaints, and engagement relating to works
- Provide technical advice to internal teams and stakeholders

Essential Requirements
- Significant experience managing lift and electrical compliance contracts
- Strong background in building services, maintenance, or M&E project delivery
- Experience in contract and contractor management
- Knowledge of statutory compliance and building regulations
- Experience conducting technical inspections and managing quality assurance
- Strong budget management and financial awareness
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
Desirable
- Experience within social housing or local authority environments
- Knowledge of leasehold consultation (Section 20) processes
