Interim Intranet Content Audit & Migration Lead
Purpose of the Role
Led a short-term project to audit, rationalise, and improve the Universityβs student intranet, ensuring content was accurate, relevant, accessible, and aligned with governance standards. Worked collaboratively across Internal Communications, IT Services, and departmental content owners to deliver a structured content clean-up and migration project within a defined timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned and delivered a comprehensive intranet content audit, developing a structured approach to reviewing, prioritising, and rationalising digital content.
- Audited intranet pages to identify outdated, duplicated, inaccurate, and redundant content, recommending appropriate actions including archiving, updating, or removal.
- Coordinated the migration, archiving, and maintenance of content within the Contensis Content Management System (CMS), ensuring content integrity throughout the project.
- Worked closely with stakeholders across multiple University departments to validate content ownership, agree required changes, and drive timely decision-making.
- Managed stakeholder relationships, providing guidance on content governance while constructively challenging where necessary to improve content quality and user experience.
- Maintained accurate project documentation, including content inventories, progress trackers, decision logs, and action plans.
- Monitored project milestones and communicated regular progress updates to Internal Communications and project stakeholders.
- Applied accessibility standards, usability principles, and University brand guidelines when updating and publishing content.
- Worked independently with minimal supervision, effectively prioritising workload to deliver project objectives within a fast-paced 4β6 week engagement.
- Produced a comprehensive end-of-project report outlining achievements, lessons learned, recommendations for future content governance, and proposed next steps.
