Office attendance split between (One Friargate) and (Whitley Depot, Coventry)

£14.82 per hour PAYE

30 hours per week (flexible across 4 or 5 days)

Temporary - 3 months with potential to extend.

Main purpose of the Role

The main purpose of the Waste Data Officer role is to manage and maintain accurate waste service data, provide administrative support to the Domestic Waste Team, monitor service performance, and support the coordination of Waste Support Assistants.

The role helps ensure waste services run efficiently, meet data and compliance requirements, and are continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver administrative support and assistance to the Domestic Waste Team.
  • Ensure compliance with service data and reporting requirements.
  • Support the management and coordination of Waste Support Assistants.
  • Produce, analyses and maintain reports using a range of ICT systems and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain data accuracy across waste service systems.
  • Work collaboratively with operational and administrative teams to improve service delivery.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with Council policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, equality, diversity and inclusion requirements.
  • Attend mandatory training and participate in development activities relevant to the role.
  • Provide additional support to Waste Data Assistants and wider service areas as required.

  • Strong IT skills with experience using a variety of systems and software packages.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and effective partnerships.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within Domestic or Commercial Waste Operations.
  • Knowledge of waste management, recycling services and relevant legislation.
  • Experience supporting service performance, compliance or operational reporting functions.

Must hold Full UK Driving License, access to their own vehicle. An Excel test will be part of the interview process.
