Provide legal and administrative support to senior lawyers within a local authority Children’s Social Care / Childcare Law team. Assist with the management of care proceedings and related legal matters by handling routine legal enquiries, drafting correspondence, obtaining statements, recording court and hearing dates, and maintaining electronic case management systems.

Support disclosure and data protection processes, liaise with social workers, managers and internal stakeholders, and ensure timely communication on case progress. Undertake legal research, maintain accurate case records, prepare reports and statistical information, and contribute to the effective operation of team procedures and workflows.

Manage a varied workload independently, provide support across the team as required, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures and legal developments to deliver efficient legal support services.
