Work Pattern
- 2/3 days in the office Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Social Worker, 37 hours a week
- Main Purpose of the Role
The main purpose of the role is to assess safeguarding contacts and referrals, identify risks at an early stage, and ensure appropriate action is taken to safeguard children and families.
The role involves working closely with police and other partner agencies to gather and assess information, contribute to multi-agency strategy discussions, and make professional decisions about the level of risk and the appropriate safeguarding response.
It is a fast-paced role with no ongoing case holding, meaning the focus is on timely risk assessment, information sharing, decision-making and effective multi-agency working.

- Review new referrals and safeguarding concerns.
- Carry out risk assessments.
- Contact partner agencies for information.
- Take part in multi-agency strategy discussions.
