About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
MASH Social Worker to join a fast-paced, multi-agency safeguarding team based at Cardiff Bay Police Station.
You will be responsible for the timely assessment of contacts and referrals , identifying children and families who may be at risk and ensuring appropriate safeguarding action is taken.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess incoming contacts and referrals to the MASH and identify levels of risk.
- Undertake timely safeguarding assessments and determine appropriate next steps.
- Gather and share information with
Police and other partner agencies .
- Participate in multi-agency strategy discussions to support safeguarding decision-making.
- Identify children at risk and ensure appropriate safeguarding actions are initiated.
- Manage a constantly changing workload while maintaining a high standard of professional decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure effective information sharing and risk management.
About You
The ideal candidate will have
- Experience working as a
Children’s Social Worker , ideally within MASH, duty or a front-door safeguarding service.
- Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures .
- Experience assessing risk and making timely professional decisions.
- Experience working effectively with multi-agency partners .
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, assessment and decision‑making skills.
