Job Overview
A Homelessness Prevention Officer supports people who are homeless or at risk by assessing their needs, creating personalized housing plans, and taking practical steps to help them keep or secure accommodation. Core duties include casework, negotiating with landlords, providing advice on housing rights, linking clients with support services, and recording decisions in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
Compensation & Terms
£22 per hour PAYE.
3‑month contract with possible extension.
2 days per week working from the office.

Hours per week: 37.5 hours.

End date: 16/10/2026.
Start time: 09:00.
End time: 17:30.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in Homeless & Housing Solutions.
- MUST HAVE HOMLESSNESS REDUCTION ACT 2017 AND PART 7 OF THE 1996 HOUSING ACT EXPERIENCE.
- Must have Part 7 experience more than Part 6, knowledge of prevention and relief and the processes for priority and non‑priority need, ability to make decisions and at least 12–24 months of experience.
